Justice Rapid Response was selected by UBS as one of the 12 finalists from Switzerland for the first Social Innovators program. UBS is supported by Ashoka in the design and implementation of the UBS Social Innovators program. A total of 1200 social enterprises competed in three geographic groupings, and JRR was shortlisted for demonstrating its significant achievements, including the creation of an innovative model, as well as its operational scalability and sustainability. JRR’s demonstrable impact leads to an unwavering vision of a world where recurring cycles of conflict can be ended by dealing with past wrongs through credible accountability.
As part of the evaluation process, JRR Executive Director Andras Vamos-Goldman participated in a 2-day “bootcamp” in Wolfsberg, Switzerland, along with the other shortlisted candidates from the Swiss pool. Winners of the competition will be supported by UBS through access to networks, grants, and mentorship. Below, Vamos-Goldman explains the vision of JRR:
